The report outlines the plans being made following the review of Torfaen Children and Family Service duty and referral processes. The report outlines some of the changes that will be required in order to implement and develop a new working model which will include changes of location for some staff and changes to some functions, although these will affect a minority of staff. The key areas for consideration are:

• The addition of a Team Manager to establishment in order to provide management oversight of the new service which will be ring-fenced on a secondment basis for existing Team Managers within children and family services.
• The change of location for staff within existing duty teams to one central location, which necessitating the move and change of base for some staff, which is in line with their terms and conditions. It is planned for this base to be the Civic Centre in Pontypool.
• Transfer of one post from Chief Executives Team to social care and housing (SS – Assistant Customer Services Manager).
• The secondment of a staff member from customer care team (individual not yet named / identified).
